Sports & Recreation
The purpose of All Star Sports Leagues at West Jackson is to help children learn to “play for a higher goal.”
Each week during the season, children will learn the skills associated with their sport while being encouraged to learn about Jesus Christ through weekly devotionals. Our leagues are open to the public and we are always looking for qualified volunteer coaches to help facilitate practices and games. Learn more about our All Star Soccer and Basketball leagues below. Children ages 5 through 5th grade are eligible to play in All Star Basketball league and are placed on teams according to age and skill level. If you have a specific request for your child to be paired (related to carpool or special circumstances) please make a note on your application.
- Registration opens in August.
- Practices begin in November.

West Jackson Golf Scramble
Saturday, October 29 • 9am
Join us for an 18 Hole Golf Scramble at Bent Tree Golf Course! Teams will be 4 players and you can register as an individual, duo, trio, or team. The entry fee is $70/Person and includes lunch and a golfcart for your team.
Men’s Church League Basketball
Open to all churches in the Jackson area.
- Registration in August

The Courts at West Jackson
Offering a positive environment and professional facilities for our members and our community – including workout rooms, walking track, gym, playgrounds, softball / soccer fields & more.
We invite all West Jackson members and the greater Jackson-Madison County community to enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities in a positive and professional environment at West Jackson. Through our Courts Membership, individuals and families can access our facilities on a weekly basis throughout the year (except on holidays and when the church office is closed).

HOURS OF OPERATION
- Monday: 7am – 7pm
- Tuesday: 7am – 7pm
- Wednesday: 7am – 5pm
- Thursday: 7am – 7pm
- Friday: 7am – 5pm
- Saturday: 8am-12pm
Basketball Court
Courts members can use the gym for basketball, running, and other activities during normal hours except for the following times:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays to provide physical activity time for our Mother’s Day Out children during the following hours: 9:00am – 11:30am (during cold or inclement weather).
- From January 1st – March 1st each year, the Courts are closed due to All Star Basketball from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.
West Jackson members have the opportunity to reserve the Courts Lobby and/or Gym for parties or practices when available. Contact Brian Cole for more information.
West Jackson Fields & More
SOCCER AND SOFTBALL FIELDS
Our fields are used by West Jackson sports leagues as well as Union University for intramural sports during the school year. If you are a member and would like to use the fields for activities, please ask a member of the Courts Staff for availability.
COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND
Our playground is open to the community throughout the week from sunrise to sunset when weather permits except for the following times:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays to provide physical activity time for our Mother’s Day Out children during the following hours: 9:00am – 11:30am.
- Sundays from 9am – 1pm for our Small Group Bible Study and Worship Service.
- Wednesdays from 5:30pm to sunset for our various discipleship activities.
Exercise & Fitness Center
WALKING TRACK
The walking track is open to all Courts members during normal operating hours.
FITNESS CENTER
Our fitness center includes a weight room and separate cardio room. We also have workout equipment including heavy ropes, exercise balls, resistance bands, but please check with our front desk staff before using these.
BECOME A MEMBER: JOIN TODAY
Courts Membership gives you access to use our indoor facilities during regularly scheduled hours. Community members can sign up for membership in the Courts Lobby at any time during regular hours. West Jackson Baptist Church members receive a free membership, but must purchase a key fob at the Courts Desk before using our facilities. Contact us today and register for any of the memberships listed below.
Jackson Area Residents
The cost for membership is $45/month per household OR $30/month per individual. All members must also pay a one-time fee of $15 for a key fob to access the Courts.
West Jackson Members
West Jackson members receive a free Courts membership with one-time purchase of key fob.
Mature Advantage Club Members
MAC members receive a free Courts membership if you are a paid member (with card). A one-time setup fee of $15 is required for a key fob to access our facilities.
Faith Homeschool Tutorial Families
Families participating in Faith Home School Tutorial can purchase a yearly membership for $25 (valid only during the school year) with a one-time purchase of a key fob for $15.
