This position involves welcoming students, and checking students into the student wing, and being a point of information for students and parents in regards to student ministry updates.

This position involves facilitating Bible studies for students as well as equipping students and encouraging students through weekly discussion and discipleship.

This position involves discipling, mentoring, and encouraging other small group leaders who are directly investing into the lives of students. This role is crucial in helping our student ministry leaders become better leaders of those they are leading.

This position involves serving food and refreshments on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights to students as well as serving by cleaning the student area.

This position involves leading weekly games during MDWK services, running slides/sound, and also filling in the gaps to help programming run smoothly.

• Family Meal Host: Families within WJ willing to open their home to college students for a scheduled meal once a semester.
• Host Home: From time to time, a college student whose home is far from Jackson needs a place to stay over a holiday weekend, to gather for a holiday meal, or store some boxes over Christmas.

• Sunday meal host home: Would you be willing to open your home on Sundays after church for young adults to eat a meal together. No cooking required, simply offering a space for people to grab takeout and gather.

• OFFCG Host home/Facilitator: Would you be willing to Host an Off Campus Community Group in your home or facilitate a group in another member’s home? We are always in need of new groups and facilitators to cover the prepared questions.

The Adult Bible Study Department Coach/Coordinator serves as a shepherd and leader for small group leaders within their assigned department, ensuring that Bible study groups function as Gospel Communities on Mission—growing in Christ, fostering authentic relationships, and engaging in gospel-centered outreach. This role provides encouragement, training, and oversight to small group leaders, equipping them to disciple their groups effectively. 

The Small Group Leader/Teacher plays a vital role in leading and discipling a group of adults within the church’s Gospel Community on Mission framework. This leader is responsible for fostering spiritual growth, building authentic community, and equipping members to engage in gospel-centered outreach. 

Lead worship for our Wednesday Midweek gathering and special events.  A brief time to share your testimony will be scheduled with Pastor Steve.  Midweek rehearsals required.

Work with age-graded choirs on Wednesdays throughout the school year.  A brief interview will be scheduled with Breanne Tracy, our ministry director.

Operate ProPresenter software, cuing projected song lyrics, Scripture readings, sermon notes and videos.

The Coffee Ministry exists to create a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere by providing quality coffee and refreshments, fostering connection, and enhancing fellowship within the church community. 

The Information Desk exists to provide a welcoming and informative experience for guests and members by offering assistance, answering questions, and helping individuals connect to the church community. 

The Door Greeter Ministry exists to create a warm, friendly, and welcoming first impression for all who enter the church, ensuring that every guest and member feels valued and at home. 

The Hospitality Ministry Coach/Coordinator serves as the leader of the Hospitality Team, ensuring a welcoming, engaging, and Christ-centered environment for guests and members. This role involves training and equipping volunteers, overseeing hospitality efforts, and fostering a culture of warmth and connection within the church. 

Join us in serving our neighbors through this apartment-style ministry. Volunteers assist with Bible studies, crafts, and meals.

On the third Thursday of each month, WJBC provides dinner at RIFA. Volunteers are needed to help serve the meal, offer a short devotion, and assist with cleanup.

WJBC hosts Room In The Inn on the third Friday of each month from November through April. Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve dinner, spend time in fellowship with guests, and for men to serve as overnight chaperones.

Volunteers visit the Madison County Jail every other Saturday morning to pray with and encourage inmates through conversation and the gospel. Both men and women are welcome. An orientation is required before participating.
