INASMUCH Day Signups Begin This Sunday!

This year’s INASMUCH Day is scheduled for Saturday April 22nd. This is a day that we as a church come together to help our community and serve our neighbors with the love of Christ. Project lists are now available (see below) and sign-ups will begin this Sunday March 26th in the Connection Center and online as well.

Have a project idea? It’s still not too late! Contact  Alan Teel if you know of someone in your neighborhood who needs help with landscaping, minor home repairs, or any other small to medium-sized projects. We may be able to send an INASMUCH Team to help!

Also, please mark your calendar for our INASMUCH Day Celebration on the following day (Sunday April 23rd). That morning, we will share what God is doing in the Jackson community and through our church ministries and community partners. We will have one combined service at 10:30am with Bible Study for all ages at 9:00am.

Announcing Our New Children’s Pastor: Rich Smith and Family!

This past weekend, Rich Smith joined us at West Jackson to share his testimony and come in view of a call to be our next Children’s Pastor. After hearing his testimony and the recommendation of the search team and personnel committee, the church voted to confirm his calling at West Jackson at the end of both worship services.

A little bit about Pastor Rich: “Rich’s top priority other than his relationship with Jesus is his family. He has been married to Paige for almost 22 years, and they have four incredible children: Allie, Addison, Alexis, and Max. He has served in the local church for over twenty years including working with children, students, and adults. However, his heart lies deeply in children’s ministry. He loves their openness to Jesus and willingness to respond to God’s Word.”

“Rich’s goal is to make church a fun and compelling place for children to come learn about God and interact with God’s people. His desire is to create environments that are filled with the truth of God’s Word and overflowing with excitement. He also has a vision to see children bloom as they encounter God and grow in their understanding of all that He has done for them through His Son Jesus. Rich believes in the vital importance of equipping and inspiring adult volunteers in the children’s ministry and challenging, resourcing, and encouraging parents in their role as the primary disciple makers of their children.”

If you didn’t have a chance to meet Pastor Rich this weekend, look for him to be arriving at West Jackson in mid-April and beginning his service with us.

India Team Update & T-Shirts Fundraiser!

Thank you to all who prayed for our India Team who recently returned from being on mission. We are praising God for a great trip for our team. During their time they were able to see 22 professions of faith, serve nearly 250 people over two days of eye clinics, hand out gospel tracts to over 200 people, and distribute new clothes to almost 60 kids. We also had a chance to encourage and train 28 local pastors from the Ho people group. Please continue to pray for our partners in India and for the gospel to continue to move forward!

Beginning this Sunday, we will also be selling t-shirts to raise money for building new wells in rural communities where our partners in India live. This is a huge opportunity for our church to help and empower our friends to share the Gospel with those who often persecute the church. Don’t wait! Sign up and pay to reserve your shirt on our website or grab one this Sunday in the Connection Center.

Set Free: A Sermon Series on Exodus 1-18

We hope you’ve been enjoying and learning from our spring sermon series on the book of Exodus called “Set Free”. This series will continue through the book of Exodus (chapters 1-18) through the end of April. Listen to this past week’s sermon by clicking the link above and invite a friend to join you this Sunday as we continue.
