Two weeks ago we began a new sermon series on the book of Exodus called “Set Free”. This series will go through the book of Exodus chapters 1-18 and last through Easter. Listen to this past week’s sermon by clicking the link above and invite a friend to join you this Sunday as we continue!

PRAY40 – Join Us In Prayer From March 1 – April 9

PRAY40 began last Wednesday, March 1st, with a church-wide prayer gathering. We then began sending out prayer reminders each morning through the West Jackson mobile app and through printed cards in the Connection Center as well. Prefer paper? Grab a prayer sheet in the Connection Center tonight! And join us as we focus on praying for God’s blessing and favor on our families and church community and outreach. We invite you to continue praying with us for the next 40 days in these three ways:

  1. Pick up a list of daily prayer requests in the Connection Center or receive them daily by downloading the West Jackson App and enabling push notifications (check the menu–three horizontal lines–at top left of the app and then click “Inbox” to find the notifications later).
  2. Join us for prayer on Sunday mornings at 7am in the Worship Center or on Wednesday nights from 5:15pm-6:15pm in Room A-143. Prayer team members will be available to pray with you each week.
  3. Form your own prayer group and partner together in prayer each week!

Student Spring Retreat Happens This Weekend!

This year’s Student Ministry retreat will be at the Linden Valley Retreat Center from March 10th – 12th. Early registration has now passed, but students can still head to our event page and register online today before it’s too late. Pray for our students this weekend as they dedicate their weekend to seeking God together, and pray for our staff and volunteers who are helping this weekend

Pray for India and our Mission Team!

Last Wednesday we sent out our third mission team to India to serve and support the efforts that are happening for a large unreached people group in India. This past Sunday we got a quick update from one of our partners on how to pray for the ministry that is happening on the ground, and we sent a longer update from Pastor Akash through our app (check your app menu at top left and then click “Inbox” to find the notification). Please continue to pray for India and our mission team as they are still on mission for the next several days!

You can learn more about the work happening in India by reading Digging Deep in India – Justin’s Story. Thank you, church, for supporting and sharing the work of Gospel ministry with our brothers and sisters in India!

Sunday Night Community Groups – Interested?

Sunday night small groups officially started back on schedule for this spring and will continue this Sunday night. Our on-campus group typically meets in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00pm (every other week, on schedule for this Sunday March 12th). Our off-campus groups typically meet in homes throughout the Jackson area from week to week. Join us this semester and grow in community — e-mail Carrie Shields or stop by the Connection Center this week for more information about joining a group!

INASMUCH Day and Celebration Sunday – Signups Begin Soon!

This year’s INASMUCH Day is scheduled for Saturday April 22nd. This is a day that we as a church come together to help our community and serve our neighbors with the love of Christ. Project lists will be available beginning Sunday, March 19th and sign-ups will begin on March 25th. Contact Alan Teel if you know of someone in your neighborhood who needs help with landscaping or minor home repairs. We may be able to send an INASMUCH Team to help!

Our INASMUCH Day Celebration will be on Sunday April 23rd, where we will share what God is doing in the Jackson community and through our church ministries and community partners. Mark your calendars now, because we will have one combined service at 10:30am on that day.
